Levodopa/Carbidopa

My husband does not hav parkinsons demetia yet he suffers from halllucinations,is this a side effect of ths drug ? he is on sinemet cr 25 mg 2 x day.Is there anythjing he can take to get roid pf the hallucinations?

Hallucinations can be due to Lewey Body dementia--may be early stages.

I have hallucinations. My specialist tested me for sleep apnea. Since being on C Pap machine and getting more sleep symptoms decreased. Talk to his Parkinson's specialist.

You definitely need to discuss this with your MD. I don't think it is a side effect from sinemet. I don't have it and don't know anyone else who does. Don't allow anyone except a Parkinson's specialist prescribe anything for hallucinations!

I've been on carb/levo for over 5 yrs. no hallucinations - at least not yet

Doc put him on 1mg Xanax he's in er now I gave him first dose today slurred speech couldn't walk sit up straight low blood pressure
