I'm currently halfway through the LSVT Think Loud speech therapy intensive course and wondered if anyone else had gone through it. My voice has gotten slowly quieter over the past year with Parkinson’s and the course is designed to retrain you to "Think Loud " . Im halfway through and already my family and friends have noticed a difference which is spurring me on. It's hard work mind you - a 4week course, 4 days a week, 45 min session but I'll get there are 😊
I try to speak loudly...I used to when I was younger but my voice has softened. It takes effort to speak loudly now. I sometime yell and hollar at my husband just for the exercise. I still got it.. :-)
Every once in a while, I scream as loud as I can. The neighbors may hear me but I don't think I am disturbing them. But I have found that I still have a great, loud scream and it is thrilling.
would like to try this but my co pay for this would be $40.00 a session, but I do know UTUBE has these on there
There is a free web site called speak up for parkinson. It helps me a lot. It on google.
Yes I have done the LSVT course which is excellent and the Speech therapist doea a follow up and gets as many as possible who have done the course to get together once a year.
