Constipation: Billy drinks hot cocoa in the morning and I add a capful of miralax to it. This solves his constipation issues usually.

My husband tried the activia yogourt which works pretty well for him. He refused to ask his doctor for more medication, so he now eats more fruit, his yogourt and he drinks more water daily. It has worked for him.

I'm glad that there is already a queston here about constipation. I have tried magnesium for about a week and a half and no help. Since I got the Pd diagnosis, I have increased my vegetable and fruit intake. Because of this, I have been able to reduce my cholesterol med dosage in half and may find that I can reduce it even more. Even more ideas that work would be very welcomed.

I have suffered with constipation too. I solved my constipation by drinking a daily dose of dense nutrition in the form of Shakeology by Beachbody. It has helped me tremendously with constipation and at the same time helps my gut microbiome with prebiotics and probiotics. I have more energy and less food cravings. I became a coach with Beachbody to buy it at a discount.

I take psyllium fibre - one tablespoon in a small amount of fruit juice (to keep the calories down.) Drink lots of water all day. I also take 1 tablespoon of chia seeds mixed in the the psyllium and juice. I take this at breakfast. I also eat lots of fresh fruit and vegetables. If I ever need more help, I'll take the psyllium in the evening as well and more often if necessary - but I've been warned to keep drinking lots of water or the psyllium might have the opposite effect.
