Do Any Other Members Have These Symptoms And Have You Found Ways To Deal With It?
A MyParkinsonsTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have had PD for nearly nine years and remain as active as possible. The fatigue is increasing. My limbs seem to be getting weaker all the time. My hands have very little strength. . When I do too much the fatigue is such that I can barely move forward. I get slower and slower. When I sit I can barely get up and am hunched forward. In a few minutes I can begin to straighten out a bit. I need a lot more rest than I used to. I also have spasms at night. Does anyone else deal with this?

I am dealing with the same thing and wask told it's normal. So i know that when i do too much or plan an event i have to take it easy the day before and after. Stress is a big problem.

Thank you everyone for sharing. Part of my problem lately is I have not been sleeping well and keep waking up every two hours or so. My Doc had changed some meds (not the sinemet) and it was causing me lots of issues. One of my Sparkie friends (we prefer this name to Parkies) said simply, "no wonder you are feeling worse, you are sleep deprived." She was right. Things are not going to be back to what they were but the landslide of worsening symptoms has peaked. Thanks to Dr. Gary for reminders on how to stand tall. I was initially diagnosed with dystonia but the sinemet helped it as well. Now I have to get back to my regular gym routine and keep strong.

These are common symptoms. For the hunching over I found this simple technique for straightening myself out again very effective - it IS possible to correct the hunching and prevent further postural degeneration. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ww-HmlR0q_A For hands I found this simple idea works well too https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KQtuMYHCOLg For fatigue, light therapy has shown to have remarkable results and this is something I myself am currently trying. Check out the work oft this Australian Institute: http://bronowski.org/ Hope these help?

My neurologist increased the amount of Sinemet a few months ago and I take it four times a day 200/50cr and if I need one to get started I take a fast acting 100/25 in the early morning. I had fatigue before but now I want to have a nap after one hour of moving around.
