I have been on Rytary for over a year now and it works to keep my tremors away every 4 hours. However, what I have noticed is that my "off period" comes on very suddenly as opposed to the "off period" that I experienced with cardopa/levadopa that usually gave me some time before I "had to" take my meds....

I used Rytary in place of Sinemet. It is slow release and allows less down time. I stopped taking it when I developed a bleeding ulcer. It did give me better control of my motor movements, but was just too much for my stomach.

My doctor put me on Retary as soon as it became available. It made a tremendous difference in my walking. Unfortunately my wearing off periods became a problem and she couldn't raise the dosage so I opted for the Dupa connect program.

I have been on Rytary shortly after it came out. I can say I have had some good results,in my walking. Yes I would recommend talking to your doctor to prescribe, but I must warn you it is very expensive
