I hear so many Parkinson's patients complain about not being able to sleep. They may be able to fall asleep but wake up and just lie in bed and are unable to go back to sleep. This happens night after night. No sleep or not enough sleep cuts deep and can cause health issues.
What is it about sleeping pills that cause apprehension and resistance? Is there something to fear about taking a pill to sleep? Let's discuss this issue. Sterling

I’m in, it’s the absolute worst feeling not to be able to sleep and I can’t turn off my thoughts..
I take 150mg Trazadone to try to help w/sleep, i only get about 4-5 hrs of sleep, but not a solid 4-5, i get to sleep fairly quickly but can't stay asleep, had a sleep study with the results only being that i have an overactive mind. Does anyone take anything that works? I'm getting so fedup w/not getting a decent nights sleep which i know is vital w/PD. Please Help.

There is also the "Zeez Sleep Pebble" - google it! I tried it and it didn't work for me, but apparently it does for 80% of people. Again, a drug free way to get better sleep.

Does any one else have trouble sleeping? I am finding I am tired when I go to bed and sometimes go straight to sleep other times I can lay there till 3-4 in the morning and then just doze for a while and be up by 7 - 8 I have a sleeping tablet but this doesn't always work and I don't want to have them increased. Thank goodness for cross word and jigsaws on the Ipad. Pam
