Hey Jeff,
I hope you are feeling better. I think we are actually talking about 2 different things here. Hi and or Low blood pressure can and will make you dizzy. However Neupro isn't for the treatment of Blood pressure but is to be used in conjunction with your PD meds. Mark was on the Neupro patch and he used them for 2-3 days and he was falling ALL over the place and was getting injured from being dizzy so he had to quit taking them. They will make you feel like you're in a dream like state. People also use them for vertigo and when flying. Definitely check with your PCP to see what they have to say. Always better to be safe than sorry.
I hope that helps.
Diana
My Dr put me on a new high blood pressure medication meant for those of us with PD. It's called Isradipine 2.5mg capsules! Haven't had much a a problem with dizziness when I stand up since I started this medication a year ago!
I would talk to dr soon. The meds can cause so many side effects, many times need to be tweeted. Sure don't want any falls
I agree with Diana, keep speaking up for yourself and ask questions over and over if you need to. You have to be your own advocate sometimes. I've learned to be assertive when it comes to my husband's med. hope you feel better real soon.
Jeff, I wear a 2mg Neupro patch. I have declined any increase in strength for fear of additional side affects. That works for me, for now. Keep in mind I am a lawyer and not a doctor. As a result, I will argue about anything!
