Has Anyone Had Surgery While On Sinemet? Did You Have To Stop Taking It Before The Surgery? And How Did You Get Along?

I'm taking 1 sinemet 25/100 mg every 2 hours when awake and amantadine 1 3x day.
Having oral surgery Monday with IV sedation. Wondering if any one has gone thur this and did you have to stop meds or able to take them and how you did

The best thing you can do is ask your Neurologist this question. There again because no two people who have PD are alike..so it would be under different circumstances. Your best answer would be from your doctors (medical/and/or neurologist).

When I had abdominal surgery they gave me Parcopa. It is a pill that dissolves in your mouth and is a substitute for sinemet. Just ask your neurologist for a prescription.
