My dad has PD and has had very good results from the Nupro patch. He is now taking treatments of Opdivo for metastatic melanoma and has to discontinue the patch because they were causing sores. His tremors and other PD ailments have increased substantially. I was wondering if there may be an oral med that could replace the patch? anyone know of anything?
thanks, Julianne
I have too get off neupro because of swelling. Neupro was in additiona to my carbadopa-levidopa, which they have increassed to 2.5 tablets. I am also looking in to the apokyn injection, and i have had DBS surgerry. talk to your Neuerologist about options.
My dad did not suffer any side effects with Nuepro patch until he began immunotherapy for matestatic melanoma.
I think we all should be treated by a motion disorder specialist as it’s a subspecialty of general neurology.
Thanks for the information!
My husband had started freezing all the time so he's now taking carbadopa-levadopa (Phone number can only be seen by the question and answer creators) three times a day and one 59-200 at night and it has helped.
