I went to a seminar about Apokyn last night. I had checked into the Duopa Pump and it cost about $3,000 a month for the medicine packets so I am looking for a less expensive fix. The Apokyn shot, used to control the off times, are $5,000-$6,000. I am not sure how long they last but I think there are five vials of medicine and you can take the shots 5 times a day. I am not sure how shots you get out of a vial. They suggested we all call a certain number to see if we qualified for help. I made the call but the answer for me was there was no help. Yikes!
