My allergies go wild in this dry fall weather that we are having. I have taken benadryl allergy at bedtime and slept 7 hrs. straight all this past week. I have felt so much better and no tremor! I was diagnosed with Parkinson's in 2013. I take 5 carbidopa/levodopa a day and it has never stopped my tremor.
Yes, I take two tabs each night before bed time, recommended by my Neurologist. Benadryl helps me sleep. I have been doing this routine for over a year now. Prior to taking Benadryl I would wake up multiple times nightly and then suffer trying to fall back asleep with restless body, anxiety, weakness and foot cramps. Most nights I get a good nights rest, but every now and then I have an episode.
Benadryl has proven to be an asset.
Hmm. I recently tried Benadryl a few nights in a row with no improvement in my sleeping whatsoever. Perhaps I'll try it again for more consecutive nights.
Me too!
Thank you for this! Your sleeping habits sound like mine before Benadryl. I research everything I hear about Parkinson's, and I had never heard anything about it. I am excited!
