Does anyone get relief by seeing a Chiropractor?

I have been going to a chiropractor for years because of a serious back injury I had in 1995. My chiropractor has done a great job on me through the years. However, since I was diagnosed with PD when he attempts to adjust my neck it hurts like crazy. He tells me the neck muscles are locked up tight. So I have have been using the Pete Egoscue exercises demonstrated on You Tube. One of those exercises, the static back press has helped my neck pain better than any neck adjustment I have ever had. You lay on the floor with your legs up on the sofa for 5 minutes or so and let gravity gently realign your spine with the floor, it is so relaxing I have fallen asleep. You are in a "zero gravity" posture which allows the muscles completely relax. It corrects the humped shoulder bowed head issue found with PD folks. Most importantly, it does not hurt and it does not cost a dime. God bless you all.

I have not the experience of seeing a chiropractor for my PD symptoms, but I watched a video where a chiropractor looks like he treated a man with tremors by pressing and manipulating his head , neck and arms and made the tremors go away. I also have watched a video of several chiropractors somewhere in the Western part of the USA, advocating the theory of the brain, able to heal itself the so called "Plasticity of the brain"

I have also gone to a chiropractor who has a massage therapist on staff. It does relieve the pain.

Thanks for answers. We both are willing to go outside of the box if the treatment helps. He has to get his broken knee completely healed and out of the brace. He will start intense PT soon so one thing at a time.

Oh and on the message, most Chiropractors will have a massage therapist on site and it is a LOT cheaper than going to a spa and they do a fabulous job. Call your chiropractors office and see if they offer that and how much it is. At our office it is $35 for 30 min and $65 for an hour. That is VERY affordable as I have been to a couple that was $120 an hour so please check. Both actually make you feel amazing and if you can get both on the same day you'll feel amazing for quite a while.
