Tremors And Eating
A MyParkinsonsTeam Member asked a question 💭

My mom has Parkinsons and is having trouble eating because her tremors are getting so bad that her food falls off the spoon before she can get it to her mouth. Has anyone found anything that is helpful in that area? We got her some of the heavier wide grip spoons but they don't seem to help much

It has probably come to the time where you will have to feed her, it would probably be easier for you both, or finger food would probably help , maybe try to find food where she doesn't have to use eating utensils

Jim has a set of PD silverware. They are quite heavy and have large round handles. They do help him.

I understand there is silverware made for Parkinsons. You might Google it.
