I was diagnosed with Parkinson's 11 years ago this month. When I feel a head cold coming on I take Tylenol Sinus NIGHTIME. The daytime one is not as good. If I feel, feverish I take either an extra strength Advil (also good to relieve pain or extra strength Tylenol. I've always been prone for bronchitis so when I feel my chest tightening up I was prescribed a puffer which works to relieve the tightness every time. The Brand is: Symbicort 200mcg/6mcg per dose. Hope this helps

My wife has diabetes and PD so when she gets a cold/sinus she doesn't take anything without first contacting her doctor.

@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member I also consume loads of herbal teas which have anti-histimine/anti-inflammatory properties, including: fennel; nettle; rosemary; ginger; clove; tumeric; cinnamon components.

I agree with @A MyParkinsonsTeam Member - I have been using "Sterimar" sea water nasal spray regularly and has transformed my nasal congestion - while once I would always mouth breath, now I automatically nose breath even when "off" - this is SO important for people with PD. More recently I've started trialling anti-allergy infrared devices that are now on the market which you put up your nose!
