I struggle with daytime sleepiness.Sometimes,I find it difficult to stay awake.I have to take a nap in the afternoon
@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member I gets a few hours sleep nightly and then up for a few hours before getting
ing drowsy. Usually. Sometimes get drowsy during the day. Take dexedrine for that. Sometimes get lots of sleep. Life goes on.
The neurologist told my dad daytime sleepiness can be that you're uncomfortable and not sleeping well at night because you're rigid. He gave dad a time release @Sinemet at bedtime and it helped a lot.
I also watched a webinar on sleep by a Stanford doctor. She advised not taking longer than a 15-20 minute nap during the day, or you won't sleep well at night because of the long nap. Maybe set an alarm or have some one wake you? It's complicated!
I am having these exact issues...up all night...rigid, cannot turn in bed, fall asleep for 10 min and then go and paint the rest if the night....till 4 am....only getting worse
I used to struggle with it all the time until i managed my meds with my dr so that they wouldnt make me so drowsy anymore.
Me too - avg about 4 hours of restless sleep :(
