While itā€™s commonly known for its heart-healthy and diabetes-friendly benefits, the Mediterranean diet has also shown neuroprotective properties, making it a positive fuel choice for people with Parkinsonā€™s disease.

A MyParkinsonsTeam Member asked a question šŸ’

Researchers at Harvard and Boston universities have adapted a soft, robotic wearable device to help mitigate the effects of gait freezing, a potentially disabling Parkinsonā€™s disease symptom marked by patients feeling like their feet are stuck to the floor, and theyā€™re unable to take another step.

The device or exosuit, which they initially designed to help adults with walking difficulties due to a stroke or other conditions, ā€œinstantaneously eliminatedā€ freezing of gait while walking indoorsā€¦ read more

Would Anyone Like To Post Info About The Latest Non-PD Book You Have Read Or Listened To Or Something Else?
A MyParkinsonsTeam Member asked a question šŸ’

I don't know about you but I'm pretty tired of PD. As with many of you, I've been on a journey to find ways that stimulate my mind while not frustrating me because I loss focus or memory. As I treat my body better, I find I enjoy reading again and my local library delivers 6 books per month to my home. So, I'm happy as the woodpecker eating my wooden house when there are acres of trees just 10 ft away (lol)
