How does the family handle the off times that lead to hallucinations with anger? It’s stressful from my end, and don’t enjoy putting the family thru the hard times. They should be enjoying their own family without drama.

C/l was a disaster for my husband. He was diagnosed a year ago with Parkinson's. The neurologist put him on c/l. He got orthostatic hypotension and fell almost every time he stood up. It was horrible… read more
Approximately 3 months ago, I experienced severe hallucinations hypothesized to be associated with an urinary tract infection, I had a second less pronounced episode of hallucinations about 6 weeks ago, also associated with a UTI. My neurologist prescribed Nuplazid, the only medication approved for the prevention and treatment of Parkinson's related hallucinations.
I have had no significant hallucinations since then. However, it is difficult to determine if the decrease is a direct effect of… read more
My husband has been experiencing a lot of hallucinations delusions, aggression and paranoia. His neurologist has increased his Seroquel from 50mg to 100mg twice daily. Anyone else taking Seroquel, has it helped? What dosage? I know everyone is not the same when dealing with these symptoms of the disease.

My wife was diagnosed with PD late March last year and started CD/LD at that time. 3, 25/100 tablets per day. Hal/del first showed up in late July. No issues before that. It seemed to work for short time (maybe 2-3 weeks) and then the hal/del returned. Dosage was bumped 12.5 mg each time and frequency throughout the day was spread out over time… read more
I am very sorry and I hope you can get some answers! My husband takes Carbidopa-Levo ER, Amantadine, and Entacapone and I feel his meds are not helping him.
My husband has been taking Rytary for about a year. It helps with tremors but now I'm not sure if the behavioral issues he's having - suspicious, agitation, disorganized thinking, are a side effect of too much medication, or the advancement of the disease. The dr thinks the latter and wants to prescribe Clozapine (an anti-psychosis drug).
At times he is very difficult to deal with as his thinking and conclusions are totally illogical even if you try to explain. Would appreciate any feedback.

Nuplazid has helped my dad so so very much, it’s very expensive but with the help of your neurologist you can get assistance from the Parkinson’s foundation and there are others
