I believe it.Toxins pesticides are everywhere and in everything we eat.I used to eat lots of dairy.Several factors increases the risk of getting PD.I strongly believe that our family history, genetic plays a greater role

I think if there is a connection it is because of the protein content of dairy products. My neurologist explained to me that protein uses the same routes at the blood/brain barrier into the brain as does levodopa, thereby blocking the levodopa from reaching the cells it needs to connect with. This is a very simple description. You can probably find more information on line.

Here in the UK they dont give meds with protein foods for this very reason. Either one hour before a meal or two hours after medication is ideal.

This is very interesting I've been thinking of going to a plant base diet for that reason don't want to increase my carb/levo

I read at least one study and it seems like good science, however,
The study suggests consuming high amounts of low-fat dairy products—especially three or more servings per day—may increase the risk for Parkinson’s disease.

I already have PD. I've given up trying to guess why I got it. I focus on living my life to the fullest with it.
Nice to know how to decrease risk of getting PD for people that don't have it. Too late for me.
