Have You Heard Of P.D Warrior.? Its An Exercise Regime From N.Z?

My physio here in UK was raving about it. There are very few certified instructors in the U.K, but my physio now is accredited and she is taking classes.

Specially designed for P.D.patients It is circuit training especially designed for parkinson patients. Most exercises can be done sitting or standing AND its greàt fun!

Trying search on Google.

I'm 64 and my brain is certainly finding new ways to do things. My physical functioning and confidence are greatly improved.

Told a person at the exercise facility I attend, she has a grandson with a brain injury. I told her about the scarves and ball exercise they demonstrated and she thought it is similar to his physical therapy. They are attempting to stimulate other parts of his brain to take different pathways than is the norm. However, in the US it seems as though many doctors believes only a young mind is able to adjust. I think until there is no brain activity (death), all brains can and do have the capability of changing and healing.

I live in Sydney near the centre where PD Warrior program was developed. I started in January, with the financial support of our new National Disability Insurance Scheme. The program is very tailored to individual needs and participation with daily practice has basically given me my life back. My improvement in balance and coordination is astounding.

The program is based on big strong movements to promote balance, strength, coordination and multitasking. The goal is neuroplasticity, with the brain finding new ways to achieve effective and controlled movement.

The program is from Australia, not NZ.
