New Medication Makes Me Nauseous?
A MyParkinsonsTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have recently changed medication to Stalevo and it's works reasonably well, however sometimes it makes me feel nauseous and gives me a sickly headache. This normally happens first thing in the morning or in the evening, I do try and take it with food and this makes no difference. I am reluctant to change as it does work well, has any else experienced this and have any advice?

I have had IBS since I was a child and now that I think about it, I have bouts of it more often.

i got a reaction that seemed like a colitis. For one week I felt great and then i began with abdominal discomfort that felt like gas expanding in my gut., I took gasX in maximal permitted doses and again felt better for a week;. then I developed fecal urgency and abdominal pain and cramping unresponsive to simethicone and decided i was not a great staledvo candidate. When I attempted the reintroduction to the med the sxs recurred with no lag time.
So all i can recommended is gasX[simethicone] to see if that covers you better than it did me.

Hi Trishia: I take Amantadine, It was 1 capsule every morning but the last few months they couldn't get any so I have to take 10 mg of liquid and it tastes terrible , I chase it down with a glass of water and like you it upsets my stomach. I have asked the pharmacist I deal with if they could switch over to capsules but they keep telling me they can't get any so until they can I'll just have to deal with it ,...

Domperidone is extremely helpful with drug induced nausea. Readily available throughout the world except the US- Americans need to buy it from Canada.
