Parkinson's And Foot Pain
A MyParkinsonsTeam Member asked a question đź’

As my Parkinson's has progressed, pain in my feet has as well.. the ends of my toes hurt. I make sure I have ample room in the toe box of my shoes. Has anyone else experienced this? What might help

MINE do the same thing...You have to get a widea shoe..My foot Drs.told me mine was because of PD..Two other Drs.told me same thing...Put me nor foam insoles in shoes..Something no tie shoes..A soft polythetlyn soft on the top of them,it's let's hammer toes move up more...Sketchers makes them..Also wear jei pads on big toes with a jel pad at bothem of big toe.. When pain is really bad take all off feet & either rub deep blue oil or cream on them rub it all in & put on a pair of massage ankle length or longer footie & go to bed...My feet are always cold,I'm not Diabetic!!!

My toes hurt too and they curl
Up as well, esp on the right footT. This is gonna sound crazy but what helps me is to tie something tight around my foot. I've even bought ace bandsges and wrapped them as tight as I can aroubd my foot. Just make sure not to cut off circulation. It really helps me but I have no idea why.

I have neuropathy in my feet frequently at night and find the ends of my toes are sensitive to pressure from the bedcovers. I use a pillow along side my legs to raise the covers a bit so I still have the warmth but not the weight on my feet.
