Now trying carbidopa levodopa 100 mg three times a day. I do occasionally get tired after taking my meds but that’s usually what I don’t work out.
Thats why my husband is always sleepy after taking his pills 3 times a day. But again he seems to doze off and on other times.
Has anyone any other tips? Or does this help anyone?
My left hand tremor troubles me at night when I try to get some sleep. I take a slow release madopar capsule at bedtime which takes a while to work. However, I have found that by relaxing as much as I can and counting down from 300 in my head and breathing deeply....it seems to still the tremor. I then think of anything except my PD. When I finally get to sleep my tremors are go away. But I rub a holes on my sheets by my feet. So I guess they must be moving a little.
I live in MN and do have dizzy spells and headaches with PD. However, traveling to Mesa, AZ I am dizzy for at least 6 hours of the day and severe headaches. Do others find different states cause different reactions and symptoms with PD?
I as well. I am sad for you as this is not fun and puts me down for that period of time. Keep positive thoughts and play hard when it is over.
Try spacing it out. I find too much makes me immediately sleepy.
Ken I am going to talk to my husband's neurologist and see if he can take his extended release of Carba/Lev in the AM. He gets really tired around noon of course we get up at 3:30am.

My husband falls asleep after taking his L-Dopa. He takes 2 in morning, one at noon, one at 5 and one before bed
Doctor said two morning and two noon. We are spacing with1 1/2 noon. Just sleeps too much
Since I have had to sleep on the recliner due to back and hip pain, my husband is not aware of my sleep problems. Well, he knows that I have had problems in the past. I find myself trying to hide the fact that sometimes I don't sleep at all
