My husband has lost his sense of taste. He says no matter what he eats, it has no taste. He also suffers from mouth sores. Does anyone know if this is related to Sinemet? Is there anything that can be done about the problem?
my neuro says if you cant smell you have parkinsons---she claims that I do not have full blown parkinsons as I can smell something down the road! I do take sinemet 3 times a day.
Losing sense of smell/taste is common in PD. Some stuff is fine, but I can't smell odd things like olive oil. Don't know if meds could do this, too - phone your neurologist.
