i also use my cell phone alarm to sound at my Sinemet dose times.
Just for my Sinemet I use a 7 day pill set up strip, a small one that will fit in my purse or pocket.
Since I take mt Sinemet 6X a day I use the first 6 "days" for my 6 doses. The benefit for me is that i can check the strip to check whether I actually took the meds. I am notorious for being in the middle of doing something when the alarm sounds. I can grab the pill strip, take the dose and keep on doing what I was doing. Later I might have no recollection whether I took the pills or not.
Sometimes I think I'll take my pills in a minute, after I'm off the phone, out of the bathroom, etc. If I get distracted, then all bets are off. By checking the strip I can quickly check up on myself. ThIs approach has help me greatly.
I use a larger pill set up for my daily vitamins and other non-time critical supplements & meds. I do my larger pill set ups once a month.
