G'day NevaEudy,
I was told at time of diagnosis I was Stage Two/Early Stage Three, while I consider meself as a new boy dealin' with Parkinson's I tend to agree with Nancy, everyone is different and everyone handles medications they are given differently as well. And that's why I never discuss the medications I take because if it works for me I don't like to give others false hope that it may work for them. As for headaches, it took about six years before those who I saw with my medical problems decided that I should go see a Neurologist, during that time I developed some real bad headaches the likes I'd never had in my life. Scans were done of me head and it was found that I had three tumor like growths in the front lobe of me brain, after more scans it was revealed that at this time there was no blood supply to these tumor type lumps so with medication to help deal with the headaches we just sat back and waited to see what would happen. Eventually me headaches stopped and so did me medication, two scans have been done since the headaches about 4 months apart, me unexplained lumps are still there, I've had no headaches since and the last scan showed no blood supply at all to the lumps. What the future holds as to what will happen to these lumps, I guess is anyone's guess, so while they behave themselves I got things to do and a life to enjoy.

Hi! Parkinson's Stages are listed on some websites, but we tend to not go to the "stage" thing. The PD is such an individual disease anyway, so stages can vary person to person I would think. My husband was diagnosed 9 years ago this past September. His Neurologist certainly has never mentioned a stage. He battles pain in lower back and left shoulder and side and also chronic headaches. He says the headache is like a metal band squeezing tightly around his head is the only way he can describe it. His Neurologist dosen't address the headaches, he indicates that they are just "part of the deal." He said to give him Aleve PRN as needed for pain, but it's only a temporary fix, somewhat. He had 2 DBS surgeries in 2015. I think headaches are the PD and or meds. We just take it one day at a time with God's help and much faith and prayer and the prayers of others on his behalf. God bless you! Take care!

I don't know about the stages of PD, though I wonder if you're ever definitely in one stage or another all the time since there tend to be good days and bad. Maybe when a person develops dementia they may be in the late stage. I don't really think about stages; I'm more inclined to take just one day at time.

As for headaches, I have a chronic one for several weeks now. I'm not sure if it's from PD since I've been diagnosed with spondylosis with a secondary neck injury. If you have arthritis that may be a cause for the headache, especially if it's in your neck.
