Does anyone else suffer being realky restless when trying to go to sleep? Over the last few weeks its been getting worse and really starting to affect my sleep
Hello, I get restless too. I go to bed and sleep maybe for a couple of hours but then I wake up and don't seem to find a comfortable position. Sometimes it gets to the point when I have to get up and watch something really boring on TV. Then I fall asleep on the couch. When I first started taking medication this didn't happen anymore. But I guess it's effect is starting to wear off?
Hi
When I first started to have restless nights, my doctor suggested I improve my sleep hygiene. I found this helped for a while. Nowadays I also take melatonin tablets which have helped a lot.
Michael J. Fox organisation have 'A practical guide on sleep and Parkinson's Disease' which you may helpful.
I take bacholfen for muscle spasms, also take trazodone for sleep.
@ Ruth - when I get into bed I shake rather with the effort of getting undressed etc but I stroke my dog and I settle down - do some deep breathing that would calm me if i suffered in this way regards Ruth x
Sounds just like me as well, some nights are ok but those uncomfortable nights are far more common.
