For me it's hard to get to sleep but just as hard to stay asleep. Like everyone else my mind just won't shut off. Trazadone seems to help so I will ask the pharmacist for that. I don't think she can prescribe clonazepam but it won't hurt to ask. If it's my shrink she is a pharmacist also. The combination of the two seems to help. Just have to wait and see

In answer to the question about sleep and running thoughts. As an active thinking person, I tend to think in the middle of the night, where my brain keeps running about solutions to all kinds of problems, and how to effectively run my entire life. in organizing appointments, people ,places, house hold chores, up dating files, who send what test results to whom and on and on. My neurologist gave me a prescription ( which is often used for seizure ) called Lamotrigine which also helps slow down your brain and keeps thoughts from running. It seems to work. Hugs, Pam

@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member. I used to work on night shift in a drop forge, for 15 yrs

Now pd makes getting and staying asleep very difficult.
I've tried hot chocolate and biscuits, beer, whiskey and a couple of dozen more remedies.
Tamazapam, Zopiclone and now I have Colozepan for restless legs and it also helps me to sleep

I have one tablet before bed and another half a tablet no later than 2am, or I will over sleep

I've started to take CBD oil and have found that if I have 3 or 4 drops twice a day and at bedtime have 6 or 7 drops that really sends me to the land of nod

Read my story anytime and keep in touch and let me know how you feel about CBD oil, regards Gavin Tomlinson
