Could My Medication (Credanil = Carbidopa & Levodopa) Worsen Hand Tremors?
A MyParkinsonsTeam Member asked a question 💭

Following first diagnosis of PD, my husband has been taking Credanil twice daily for 2 weeks now. His hand tremors have worsened significantly. Has anyone else on this medication found similar effect? The med was supposed to alleviate tremor & muscle weakness. Do we continue for a longer period or try to find another medication? Thank you.

Sorry, I forgot to mention this too - if you are changing drugs, you need to ease them in, give them time to work, and then ease them out again if necessary: suddenly ramping up or crashing off isn't a good idea

Thank you ... he has actually stopped taking the med ... we will see how it goes without. He has the tremor but not the nausea!

Could it be that the dose is too high, and he's getting too much stimulation? Also, I took Levdopa early on and it did not suit me at all, then. The big thing about P symptoms and medicine is that you have to try different options to get the right balance
