I worked out in the community as a home care worker we used Steadys in loads of houses but of course I live in Northern Ireland and the trust supplied them free of course I'm leaving my wonderful job through ill health in the next few weeks after caring for people for 15 years I never thought I would one time be a patient but hopefully not for many years to come by the way steadys r great but so a hoist once your trained how to use it xx

No Cathy, we have been provided with a hoist which has been challenging to use but my sister seems to be getting the hang of it and she will teach me this weekend. My mam is only home last Monday after spending 3 months in hospital and they were using one of these there. They are a great piece of machinery.

Can you not get one free from your health care provider

Thanks Cathyb, sorry missed your reply before. We are doing quite well with the hoist now. I'm sorry to hear you're leaving your job due to ill health. I hope you get plenty of rest and your health improves. xo
