I actually have high blood pressure. I started to get orthostatic hypotension .I was taken off the hypertension med now my blood pressure is high and drops fast when I stand up.Has anyone had this problem with their PD meds
I n had nOH 14 years before a doctor knew what it.was. I even gave a talk to professional medical practitioners so they could reach a better understanding of it. That was nerve wracking.
My blood pressure recently started going very high-into the 200s-and then dropping drastically. If so, how did you and your drs handle it? I was hospitalized last week. Drs at first thought I had had a stroke. Been struggling to keep it down since.

Anything is possible with Parkinson’s. However, low blood pressure is far more likely. You should check with your PCP for other possible causes.

Could be your schedule, either activities, stressful events, or food intake. Does it go up when you are active or inactive? After meals or before? After you head in to work or before?
Some one with PD and also hypertension will usually show similar symptoms with respect to migraine and motor symptoms

Bp tables work but if you are over weight I suggest you go on a healthy diet and start exercising.
