A MyParkinsonsTeam Member asked a question 💭

As it is well known in Parkinson's, constipation is one of the biggest problems. I am just wondering what other's do to combat it. An advice would be helpful. Tia.

Yes, prune juice works! My husband tried Citrucel and several other things for years and they were only partially successful. Finally, he tried drinking a small glass of prune juice each morning and hasn't had a problem since.

Prune juice and prunes cut up in your cereal. Works like a charm. Maybe not every day is best. Give it a try. Refrigerate juice. Makes it more palatable.

I tried the foods and meds and after several years, finally found @Miralax works the best for me. One tablespoon in my coffee every morning. Walmart carries a generic that is not too expensive.
