I Am Searching For Information About Striatal Deformities With Parkinson’s. Are There Beneficial Therapies And Treatments?

My mom is having quite a bit of pain with her hand, feet, back and neck. The deformity is progressing rapidly. She is in residential rehab but nobody seems familiar with this condition.

I don't think health professionals are allowed to recommend the oil. This might change soon following the headline story of the family that had to take their young son to USA for cannabis oil treatment. It was confiscated at the airport on their return but , I think it was the Department of Health made an exception and also said they were looking at the wider issues for this medication.

I am hesitant about giving this response. For a long time I was suffering from sciatica and the medecines prescribed by my Dr did little to prevent the many painful attacks. A friend of mine suggested that I tried cannabis oil and so I went to my Dr and discussed it with him. He told me he wasn't able to prescribe it but going onto his computer, he told me it wasn't illegal and even told me there was a shop in our town-centre that sold it. After a fortnight the sciatica ceased and there was also a reduction to the extent of my shaky hands! I wasn't expecting that and I wouldn't recommend other people do the same until we see some evidence that is based on research etc.

From the Autumn, the NHS will be able to prescribe CBD based on the research showing the many benefits.

My family doctor wouldn't prescribe the oil until she went to a seminar and now she's a big supporter. She'll give me a prescription but the oil needs to come from a local company.

Thank you. I’m also looking for input as to whether any physical therapy and braces are helpful.
