Thank you so much.He does not have much motivation, almost given up.There is no conversation.I have my own health issues and try to keep well myself. I started yoga yesterday.I get so frustrated with him as he will not help himself.xxx

Elizabeth Laker - It must be very frustrating for you, and i understand your wish to help your husband. I have seen some exercise programs on Facebook and Youtube - sorry I can't give you a link. Do try to get him to do some exercise.
I have PD and am 83 and exercise almost every day, and it makes a tremendous difference.. I see you live in Kent UK. Have a look at the UK Parkinsons website and seek help there.. Keeping things moving is the key to being able to continue moving..

I do hope you find some help for your husband.

Best wishes

Audrey

Find out if there are any Parkinson"s programs specializing in rehabilitation of various types. I am sure they exist. The hard part is getting him to try to take part in any of the programs. I am 65 and Parkinson's has taken away quite a bit of my independence. It is difficult not to give up. Many times I want to but I don't because I have to keep going for my family especially my 2 year old grandson. Inclusion is the key and activity. I hope it helps.

@ElizabethLaker: I am sure it must be frustrating for you to see your ex husband so poorly. A non motor symptom of Parkinson's can be apathy and sometimes depression. It is not surprising he is initially feeling at sea and trying to come to terms with his situation. Hopefully he has a supportive GP and local Parkinson's Group. If he wishes to , he can organise an Occupational Health Therapist to help him make any adjustments to his home or can be shown how best to help.
