I Have Am Having A Problem With Anxiety.
A MyParkinsonsTeam Member asked a question 💭

I am having a a severe problem with anxiety - start each day with it and it lasts until the evening. I am taking 4 levodopa pills a day and wonder if that has an impact on the anxiety. My legs, west and neck are feeling tight
and I feel breathless. Has anyone else experienced this at all.
Thanks

I take Xanax. 2 a day. I usually break them in half. They are so helpful!! Take a half Before your anxiety is elevated. Mine is a 0.5 mg. I’ve taken them for years. I am very responsible about this medication. Also get into counseling. Keep a journal.
Good luck!❤️

Good to hear your strategies. Always revisiting mine. "italk" talking therapy is a free service in the UK which is available through self referral.

Also:
Exercise
Social activity/reaching out
Pets
Gardening or nourishing something is very beneficial - exercise, positive activity and produces visual and tangible effects!
PD Warriors
etc
Review of prescribed meds regularly with Pharmacist in case of new symptoms/effects

Talk to your doctor about Klonopin. It is an anti anxiety medicine that really helps me.

I didn't mention that I suffered anxiety attacks for months before I found I just had to think around them. They mostly hit me in the middle of the night. They didn't go away by themselves and they were very real. Tight chest, stiff elbows and knees, trouble breathing. Once I learned that I had the ability to get out of them, they didn't bother me as often or for long.
