It definitely takes a toll on you. My mom has Parkinson's and she has good days and bad days. I think the most important thing is to stay active and busy. She has recently taken up jewelry making with lots of bright, colorful beads. We got her large needles that she can handle easily. She likes to color (she is really good at this!) and work on puzzles and play games on her laptop. She has physical therapy come to the house twice a week (this is paid for by medicare) to work with her on exercises and movement. They even evaluate how she sits down on the commode and gets in and out of the shower. We keep her walking around the house and I take her to the grocery store and we walk up and down every aisle. Find something you love to do and don't be afraid to try new things. You never know what is going to make you happy until you try it!
Your not alone honey! We are all here!
