What Is The Usual Cause Of Death In Parkinsons?

I am a retired RN and have a "boyfriend with Pk. I want to do whatever I can for this man, as I love him dearly but he won't talk about his prognosis.

His major paranoia is that our relationship must be a secret. ( if someone sees us together) they will gossip about him. he won't let me talk to his doc.

I am committed to him but I feel so isolated and then there is decline. What do I do ??

Please help me. I have talked to people with PK on line but no one is really helpful. Tess

I take things one day at a time.....every day is unpredictable when living with pd.....perhaps your boyfriend can only deal with the present day

LeadIng causes of death for P.D.
1- pneumonia
2 falling
3 choking

all avoidable I recently read P.D. patients can live a normal life span!!
as long as those without P.D. but quality of life leaves a lot to be desired!!!!!

Sorry it's been difficult for you and your boyfriend...but would getting support from a local pd group help? I know he might not join but at least you can share your experience with others who might know what you're going through...this is just a suggestion, and other thoughts are welcomed...
