My husband took this med for restless leg a couple of years ago. While on it he had several episodes of acting out his dreams. Jumping out of bed..hitting his head on the nightstand and bleeding. We had no idea these episodes were caused by this med until he stopped taking it. He never had another night terror after that.
This just goes to show how people can react differently to medications.
It may just go away or you may need to reduce it,you should ask your pharmacy, ive taken it for 15 yrs it took my tremor away. there are two types slow release and standard what do you take
I'm on Requip it's just one of the 7 pills I take daily. It has helped me with my tremors. I go through a weird transition for the first half hour after I take this then it settles down.
JohnieandJune, this is Dave responding. I had RSL and my Neurologist prescribed Mirapex. She told me Mirapex often times causes nightmares and so she told me to cut the pill in half and take a half dose. She explained that it would stop the nightmares and stop the RSL, it has worked for 4 years so far. Try that with the Requip and see if that will help. God bless you.
My husband takes requip for his RLS & it has helped his
Jumping legs alot. Give it a little more time.
