As mobility decreases what are your plans
My uncle had Parkinson's but did not want to live without his wife. They hired a caregiver who worked with them 5 days a week 9-5 another cared for them on weekends. She helped with shopping and… read more
Has anyone found neck or back supports helpful
After seeing this picture, I'm thinking of buying a neck pillow (type you use on an airplane) for my hubby.
How do you all talk yourselves through each day.?

I'm trying to plan for the future. I'm considering selling my house and moviǹg to an adult apartment complex. My house is a modest 3 br home and I would be moving initially to an independent living area, either a studio or 1 be apartment. Just started home health so we are still seeing what all of the options are and how well we can do on our own. But with Parkinson's being a progressive disease I wonder how long we could continue on our own even with help. Question is: have any of you gone from living in your own home to moving… read more
Thats a very tough decision to make. I'm fortunate that I'm not at that stage yet. I would recommend visiting some programs near you to see what they have to offer.
