Before my PD diagnosis I was diagnosed with bipolar 2 due to hypomanic and depression symptoms. My movement disorder specialist has now told me that this was probably a precursor to the physical symptoms of Parkinson's. Is this normal? There have seen commercials lately about tardive dyskinesia being a side effect of long term use of bipolar medications. They of course have a medication for it, hence the commercial. But that might be an angle to research. And try parkinsonism and bipolar medication to see if that might bring up different results.

I'm bipolar 2...i also take lamictal...helps with mood swings and depression...i used to take Klonopin for anxiety but now I'm on hydroxyzine...my psychiatrist knows that the meds I'm currently taking does not affect my dip...
