My husband is 57 has had PD for 10 years. He still works full time. The past 4 months we have noticed he is starting to have communication issues and his whole body is starting to have tremors. His neurologist scheduled him for another MRI. He told me that hubby shouldn't be at this stage yet. Of course I am only thinking of the worse, but does anyone have any ideas what the Doctor might be looking for?
In my own experience, the doc was looking for any changes to brain matter. Fortunately, none were found.
I am so sorry O can't answer that. My son was just diagnosed with PD, he is 49 but sometimes I notice his speech a little slurred. At this stage of the game him and I are very satisfied that levodopa helps with the tremors.
He just resigned from a strenuous job at a supermarket and he seems a lot
happier. He has other health issues as well, and it was in his best interest to stop working. Looking for volunteer work without stress/
Maybe a stroke or a brain tumor. Probably isn't that, though. I had the MRI before diagnosis was confirmed.
Hi Peter,
My son war diagnosed in October 2018 with PD, He was working in a supermarket for 28 years, but just like you, the stress was too much and he
retired on 4/29/2019. He will not be able to collect his pension until he is
55 but receives social security due to other medical problems. This was
a very good decision and he made a lot of difference for him, calmer, happier.
Looking for some volunteer work though.
Have a good day
