My dad has really bad anxiety, I know that the hemp oil could reduce his anxiety but his psychiatrist said that would make him hallucinate. Is that really true?
I started using CBD oil about 6 months ago, just to see if it would help with the tremors I had on my left side. Amazingly, after about a month of taking it daily the tremors have almost totally subsided. CBD is the only thing I have done differently. My neurologist saw the results and enrolled me in a 5 year study. Not only has it stopped the tremors but it has also helped my anxiety, sleep, and overall outlook about how I approach daily life with Parkinson’s. Say what you want, but it works for me! Believer!
@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member with regard to the content of the CBD oil you are using, it is essential that the company you are dealing with has their oil tested often by a third party independent lab that has been certified by the FDA. If they can't immediately furnish you with a copy of their latest test results, find someone else to do business with. It's not just a matter of the CBD concentration, hemp is notoriously good at absorbing heavy metals. Also, it can become contaminated with bacteria during the processing. The report should cover all of these areas. I don't have a lot of trouble with tremors - for me this is relief for severe cramping and dystonia. It has also helped with the dyskinesia I experience periodically. I have the sensation that my muscles are more " fluid " - hard to describe it but I definitely would hate to be without it.
But be careful some sites are scams. Billing you for monthly products you dont order and sending products on a monthly basis. Expensive
My dad’s neurologist said there is no guarantee that the CBD from hemp is not more than .03. So he said he would not do anything for my dad with the CBD oil.
Not if it's CBD oil with .03 percent of THC or less. It's the THC that's hallucinogenic not the CBD from hemp. Check out the takespruce.com website for some background info...the FAQS section
