My husband eats his meal one hour prior to his medication
I have lost a lot of weight in the last month. I am having problems swallowing at times and feel full fast so am not eating as much as I should. I have found I have to stay away from alot of Protien as it interferes with my medications. Has anyone else noticed a large weight drop?
I hope so too for your good
I've been told not to eat protein sooner than 45 minutes before taking Sinemet or 2 hours after taking it. I was reading the answers to
other questions on this site and some people seem not to have noticed any difference. I hope so because it's really difficult if you're
taking several doses during the day and trying to fit in 3 meals as well.
I take cardivelopa three times a day. I'm retired and my schedule changes from day to day. In the mornings I sat my alarm clock 45 min. before I plan on eating. Take the medication at a given time… read more
Thanks
Think about the symptoms you have day to day. Are any of them increased or decreased after eating certain foods. This could be fairly soon after eating or even an hour or so later.
My husbands blood pressure bottoms out after big meal or dense carbs. Has gotten so bad we’ve had to add flutocort (I think) to keep this from happening. Also when/if he takes CL can’t tell much… read more
How important is avoiding protein? Unfortunately it seems I prefer high-protein meals. I see on Parkinson’s websites that under high-protein diets Carbidopa Levadopa is not absorbed well. True??!? Please advise. Thanks!

No food 1 hour before Sinemet
No food 1 hour after taking it
Especially protein
I was told by my Pharmacist to take my [[treatment:Sinemet:55d551c11fcaa39f0e[[phone:000079]] 100 1:]] 1/2 tabs three times a day after food.
I have read in this post that one should take it 30 - 60 mins before food and preferably not with high protein diet.
I'm confused!!
When should I take the Sinemet? Before or after food?
I find the side effects of the quick release 100 to be nausea and drowsiness after taking it.
I am currently taking [[treatment:Sinemet:55d551c11fcaa39f0e[[phone:000079]] 25-100:]]. I am to take 2 pills 3x daily. However I have not been instructed as to how much time I should leave between each dose. Would anyone be able to share with me what your schedule looks like? I have been told that taking pills on time is very important. I do know the rule about protein-- Take medication 30 minutes before eating or 2 hours after eating.
My husband takes 1 regular c/l and 2 c/l CR at 6 am……1 of each c/l at 10 am, 2 pm and 6 pm
My issue mostly is swallowing anything like bread, crackers etc. the issue is hard for me and I’m having trouble with this because it’s all new and different.
My physician hasn’t discussed this with me. I’m felling lost. She said I’m in early stages. Will this get worse?
I have trouble swallowing and choke on water and food. I want to thank you for your input on this issue.
I usally take my medication before dinner, but I read somewhere if I eat protein the medication won't work it as well, just been diagnosed all new to me.
Red meats absorb ur sinemet. Eat at least 30 mins before or wait 30 minutes after.
