My daughter, age 57, had DBS and she is doing fantastic. Are there tests I could take to see if DBS would help me at 84?

That is correct. And the 'pacemakers' need to be adjusted periodically. It's not a simple procedure, but it DOES work!

shave the head, drill two holes in skull run wires in and do a pacemaker which you have a control
