I think it was someone on my team that mentioned taking Stalevo and mb entioned they supplimented it wth 1 or 2 regular 25/100 pills at night. Can you mix Stalevo with reg carbo/levo? Since we went to daylight savings time (Ug) i need to take my Stalevo at 7:00am instead of 8. So my last dose runs out about an hour- to a-1/2 earlier and that makes it hard to go to sleep. If I took 1/2 or one regular 25/100, i think it would help. Thank you for an help you can provide. I
@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member It is made to be a relief during off times with C/L You still take your regular c/L 25/100 but take this at off times. It is an oral inhalant, you use a special inhaler to use it. It doesn't last a long period but it may help you if you take it at bedtime to get to sleep and help keep you asleep. Don't take it at the same time as the C/L 25/100
I agree with Brian, dosing times throughout the day need to be rescheduled based on what time you take your first dose. This morning, for example, I'm up at 3:35 am and took my first dose of C25/L100 at 3:45 am, my next dose will be 6:15am (instead of my normal 6:00am), my most efficient interval between doses is 2 hours, 30 minutes. But remember I am at 19 1/2 years with PD. I can go about 30 minutes when I first get up before I need to take my first dose of the day.
Thank you so much for your response. The doctor gave me a kit of Inbriga, which is the drug you are referring to. I forgot all about it be ause he ga e it to me over 6 months ago when i was on regylar carbo/levo 25/100's. I will give my doctor a call the first thing Monday morning! God bless you Robert for taking the time to respond to my question!
Your response was extreemly helpful! I was on Rytary but i could not deal with it's inflexibility. My new neurologist has me on 6-7 pills a day. He said i should try 1 Stalevo every 3 1/2( + -) hours. If that doesn't work out for me, start adding 1/2 a regular C/lL 25/100. So you kind of validated what he told me. Thank you so much!
Not so great. A lot of off time. Really poor balance and my walking is very clumsy. I sound great don't I? LOL! i don't think the Stalevo is the right drug for me. I see a new neurologist on Thursday. I will see what he has to say. Thanks for caring Marlene! You are one in a million!
