I have problems with balance, speech not being able to talk very loud and my tongue does not move well. I had a swallow test and that was ok. But I can choke on food because my tongue does not move around in my mouth very well to push the food where it needs to go, and sometimes goes right down my throat before I chew it

I have same swallowing problems. My speech therapist had me get a product called ThickIt. Things flow better when added and does not change the taste of what. You are drinking or eating. Very small bites of food. Stop with foods you choke on. There is a list on this and info. Ask your doctor. Neurologist sent me to therapist.Hope this helps.
I'm new to PD. I pay careful attention to chewing and taking smaller bites. I've only had that choking feeling a few times and I'm still early stage. My balance seems worse when I turn suddenly or back up. Now I'm trying to be more aware of sudden movement. What I need to do is build my core.
Eww two months ago I started having the same problems I email my neurologist He said it was part of the PD so he referred me to a Speech Therapist she run me through some liquid test and food and start to teach me some techniques to swallow to exercises the tongue . I was also send to the VA Hospiter for test like you they said I did good. I’m set up with the speech therapy for the next couple of weeks. I did discuss it with my primary Dr. what happened when things get worse the bottom line is they put feeding tube on us
