I am still waiting for my diagnosis and had slowly come to terms with the likelihood of being diagnosed with p.d. However now I am panicking that perhaps my symptoms are more indicative of ALS as I continuously experience muscle twitches in many different parts of my body. Looking online this is one of the main symptoms of ALS but I can not find anything online that correlates this symptom with P.D. I don't have most of the other symptoms of ALS so still hoping for Parkinson's. Just… read more
My husband does all night long, sometimes I look over at him while were watching TV and his hand muscles are twitching. I don't even think he realizes it.

I fully understand your concerns. I would not have chosen this but at times it can be injected with humor. I've had auditory changes where I hear singing, chanting (Hawaiian) at night when I go to bed. It's quite beautiful. I started out with a tremor in my thumb and eventually my hand. I'm taking Sinamet 3x daily😳
My husband has jerking of his hands and legs, this has been going on for years and he was just diagnosed with atypical Parkinson's in November. He was just started on Sinemet. It will take a few weeks to see if it's working. I'll keep you in my prayers. My husband is 68yrs old and rode a motorcycle all of his life, can't ride anymore as he got lost last year while out, should have forced the VA then to start testing but he refused. Please don't ignore the symptoms and do all the testing.
My dad had ALS..I realize everyone is different but, dad started by dragging one foot and stumbling a lot..I do not remember him ever shaking, I was his caretaker when I was 12 and 13 while my mom and sister worked so I watched his progression go from crutches, to wheelchair is a short period of time..and I had to help him with his baths, and getting dressed and helping him in to his chair. Mom finally put him in the VA hospital.
