I am losing a lot of fine motor function in my dominant hand. Lots of our computers and phones are equipped with built-in assistance for speech-to-text and text-to-speech, but I am interested in a more comprehensive solution. As another member said; Alexa and Google Assistant seem to be a good idea. I read an article about this on another PD site. The PD person with the condition said that he prefers to, for example, having a family member call him to take a shower, etc.

Thanks for your reply @A MyParkinsonsTeam Member. I am trying to avoid using Google, Microsoft, Amazon, or Apple solutions if possible. It may not be possible, but I'm trying to find out what the options are (if any).

I miss the days before the ubiquitous cloud when we could purchase and own software locally.
