He has other health issues such as COPD and carries oxygen with him. In his PD stage, he is so confused, problems with memory loss, quick to anger and can get very mad in a instance! (He's a horrible co-pilot in the next seat)!
Got the doctor to tell him NO! Not just his tremors, but he's mannerism...he's confused a lot more than usual....not good behind the wheel....and quick to anger as well!!!!!
I've been diagnosed for two years and had to quit driving a concrete truck. I would try to put where I was going in my phone app for directions to my destination and still got confused.with the concrete drying out in the drum. The areas we were going too we went there every day.I can start something at The house and forgot what I am doing even looking at doesn't help me remember.I do have a caregiver ( my wife of 34 years) I try to tell her multiple times a day how much I love her.She takes care of all my prescriptions and keeps track of them. Sorry this is so long
He shouldn’t be driving. God bless you both.
If he can drive safely, there shouldn't be restrictions. My hubby doesnt drive anymore because his motor motions interfere with his driving. He didnt want to stop driving (who does?) But sometimes it becomes necessary. Get an opinion from his doctor. That's what we did. The doctor will be firm with him if he shouldn't drive.
