I have started freezing up or getting stiff everytime I lay down anytime of the day. I take sinemet 2 every 6 hours. It seems to help for about 2 hrs. Does anyone know what i need to do?
You can ask your specialist about the drugs called entacapone and stavelo which extends the life of levadopa.
@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member I know the fumble finger boogie...went out to second hand stores last month and bought Corel dishware and Mason jars with lids from Amazon...As for getting stiff and what helps...I take 2 25/100mg tablets of Senemet every 3 hours or 8 times a day
1 mg of pramipexole (Mirapex) 4 times a day and two amantadine 7a and 7p and if I take it consistently at night I wake up in pretty good condition but if I am late with a dose or miss a dose,I wake with numb and painfully tingling feet and I usually put a hot pad on them on top of the cover and I stretch them out...the night time is the worse for Parkinson's...if you can sleep be greatful...then there's the offs...when I am up and going during the day I don't feel the horrendous uncontrollable shaking throughout my body even in the middle of my brain it seems and at night in bed there's not much you can do to take your mind off it..I play online card games like Canasta and Euchre or scrabble and word games to keep my mind off of it. It might be time to consider nighttime dosing or extended release or the duopatape.
I also get stuff if I lie down for more than 2 hours & sitting up within 30 minutes.
ChaRosy if you are not on muscle relaxers please ask your doctor to prescribe them for you. They do help
Thank you
