He has really bad spells of dizziness, nausea for about 30 minutes after about 30 minutes after taking the meds. It is not each time but it is unpredictable. We have also discovered that it elevates his BP after he takes it. Need help of how others may be coping with this same problem. He likes the benefits of this drug. Can really tell it helps but is not tolerating side effects well.
Thank you!
He added the carbidopa a few months ago and it has been hard on him but he thinks it helps with tremors. He eased into it with half doses, advice I gained from people on this post. His dr is useless in trying to help him and I pray he will want to seek our a new neurologist.
On here we know scary. I love this site!
I am so glad you wrote this. My husband has been on the meds for 20 days. They have made him have calf pains, incresed urination, memory problems and he is 62. He has headaches and nausea. How long has your husband been on meds? So glad your new and sharing . This is a bit scary.
I have found for me that i barely tolerate it and get real bad dyskenesia if i take too much but it is the only thing that controls the shaking. I can't do extended or delayed release RX because it gives me too much too soon and that is why i take regular 10/100 or 25/100 and amantadine with it. If Azilect didn't make me whacko it also helped and the pramipexole i take really helps but tweaking the dosage can cause coma or suicide so i have to take it till the day i die
